Wheelies and tricks are how Bike Universe pays you. Learn the throttle timing, the practice spots, and why a clean landing beats a big jump every time.
Bike Universe Tricks and Wheelies Guide
Bike Universe pays for wheelies and tricks as two separate things, which tells you the game scores them differently. Riding pays the baseline; a sustained wheelie pays on top of it; a landed trick is the bonus round. Learning to hold a wheelie is therefore the single highest-value skill in the game, and it costs nothing but a flat road and twenty minutes.

Why the Wheelie Comes First
The description lists "wheelies and tricks" as one income line, but they are not the same skill:
- A wheelie is a balance you hold. It scales with time, and it happens on ground you were already riding.
- A trick is a scored move, usually involving air or a spin. It scales with difficulty, and a failed attempt costs you the run.
Every rider who is good at tricks got there by first being able to hold a wheelie for long enough to set up the trick. Skip that order and you spend your sessions crashing on jumps that a two-second wheelie would have paid for.
The game's own screenshots are almost all wheelies: three official images, all captured on flat grid ground, two of them with the front wheel up. That is the developers showing their own game doing the thing the game is named for.
The Wheelie Method
This is the sequence that works in almost every bike physics game, and nothing in Bike Universe suggests otherwise:
- Pick flat ground with a long straight. The map's open grid areas are the same terrain in the official screenshots, so they are the safest place to learn.
- Get to a moderate speed. Not walking pace, not top speed. Too slow and you fall over; too fast and you run out of road before you run out of wheelie.
- Pull back and hold acceleration at the same time. The pull starts the rotation, the throttle keeps it up.
- Release the pull, keep the throttle. Holding both usually ends in a backflip onto the rear fender.
- When the nose starts to drop, tap the brake. Braking brings the front down under control. Slamming the throttle shut drops it hard and costs the wheelie.
- Steer with the rear. Small inputs, early. Large inputs at the top of the balance point put you down.
Practise until you can hold it for a count of three, then extend. There is no shortcut to the second part; it is repetition.
Aim your eyes at the far end of the straight. Riders who stare at the front wheel over-correct, and over-correction is the most common way a good wheelie ends.
Where to Practise
Three kinds of ground, three different lessons:
| Ground | What it teaches | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Open flat grid | Balance and throttle control | First twenty minutes, every session |
| Long empty road | Holding a wheelie at speed | Once you can count to three |
| Jumps and ramps | Landing angle and trick setup | After you can hold a wheelie on a straight |
Stay off busy roads while learning. A collision ends a wheelie instantly, and the player who hit you is not going to apologise.
If you want a second place to drill the same skill, Untitled Wheelie Game builds its entire listing around wheelies and traffic, and it is worth an hour once you can hold one here.
Clean Landing Beats Big Air
The instinct is to find the biggest jump on the map. The better habit is to find the jump you can land ten times out of ten, and only then look for a bigger one.
The reason is arithmetic. A landed trick pays once. A crash costs you the run, the approach, and the time it takes to get back up to speed. If a jump lands one time in three, the two failures usually cost more than the success, especially in a game where riding time itself is income.
So the rule is: a trick you can repeat is worth more than a trick you can attempt. Add difficulty only when the current jump has stopped being interesting.
Mistakes That Cost You Runs
- Pulling instead of pulling and throttling. The front comes up and immediately falls because there is no drive under it.
- Letting go of the throttle at the top. The nose drops; the landing is a crash.
- Steering hard while the wheel is up. The bike rotates around the steering axis and you are suddenly sideways.
- Learning in traffic. Every collision is a lost wheelie.
- Practising on a bike you just bought. New bike, new balance point. Learn the machine before you test it.
The game says riding, wheelies and tricks all pay. It does not publish how much any of them pay, and no third-party source has measured it credibly. If a page gives you an exact number of cash per wheelie, it made that number up. Use the measurement method in the money guide to find your own.
Practising Without Losing Money
The efficient split is roughly two sessions in one:
- Earn on the route. Ride the loop, hold wheelies on the straights, bank the cash.
- Practise off the route. Ten minutes on a flat area or a single jump, crashing freely, then back to earning.
Doing both at once feels productive and is not: every failed trick on your earning route is a minute of income lost and a reason to stop practising. Separate the two and you get better and richer in the same hour.
If you want the order to do all of this in, the beginner guide lays out the first hour minute by minute.

FAQ
How do you do a wheelie in Bike Universe? Get to moderate speed, pull back while holding acceleration, release the pull, keep the throttle steady, and tap the brake to bring the nose down.
Do wheelies give cash? Yes. Wheelies are one of the three listed income sources, alongside riding and tricks.
What is the best place to practise tricks? Flat open ground first, a long empty road second, jumps third. The official screenshots use flat grid ground, which is the same thing the developers test on.
Are there trick combos? The game does not describe any combo system. Trick scoring details are unpublished, so treat anything claiming a specific combo list as unverified.
Can you do tricks on a pedal bike? Unknown. Pedal bikes are the least powerful class, and the game publishes no trick rules per class. Test it on a flat area before you rely on it.
